Beauty Abounds

Hello! Welcome to my blog :)

Who doesn't love butterflies??  I know I do, and Stampin' Up didn't dissapoint with their new catalog that just came out on January 3rd.

There are 2 sets of stamps that have gorgeous butterflies, not to mention paper that you can get FREE!  Yep, FREE.

Today I used the Beauty Abounds and some of the thinlits to make this card. These thinlits have some awesome pieces in it. Lots of small butterflies to make it easy to get several in one pass on your Big Shot!

The two larger dies can be put together to add more colors and give it a great look.
I used Highland Heather and Basic Black and then cut the bottom two butterflies off to add to my card. I also cut out the small butterfly that is showing a side view to layer onto a stamped butterfly as you can see on the right side of the card.

I really love this stamp set. It has the background stamps like the bokeh dots that you see and it also has a little splotchy stamp also ... a real technical term hahaha... I added in a little Granny Apple Green also. I think those colors really go well together.

For the circle I used my go to Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I absolutely love these and the stitching all around really adds something to it I think.
Well, that's it for me today. If you are looking for any of these products you can find them over at my store HERE

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A little note with Butterfly Gala

Hello and welcome! I just can’t seem to stop playing with the beautiful Butterfly Gala bundle that is in our new Occasions catalog!

It’s just so easy to make a card  with the punch and the free coordinating  paper that you can get from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

I’m playing a game over on my Facebook page called HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO MAKE??
I am somewhat of a procrastinating perfectionist.... is there such a thing??  Well if there is then I fit the bill. I think of a card I want to do but then can’t decide if I want this paper or that one for the strip off designer paper or maybe I should use this one for the circle?  I hate cutting into gorgeous paper because I don’t want to waste it just to get a circle from it. 🙄🙄

Now I will say,  that I decided on my papers that I was going to  use and where I was putting them so I’d know what size to cut them. Let’s face it if you had to add in my looonngg  thought process it would be all day haha, and this is the final outcome!

The DSP that you can get free really makes this card!  Stampin’ Up is really stepping up their game. Those gorgeous butterflies on my card are from the paper and fit the punch!! How much simpler can you get. I didn’t have to stamp them, color them and then cut them out. Just took my punch and punched them straight from the beautiful paper!!

See!!

I also used this embossing folder , can I just say yummy...

Love the look the tufted embossing folder gives the paper.

This set was so popular that the punch is on back order. But don't fret... it will be back ! So keep your eye out if it's a bundle you'd love to have!! Also in case you didn't know we have the Beauty abounds butterfly bundle that comes with framelits and could be used instead of the ones that I have on this card. I will have another post tomorrow showing a card I made with that set!

Thanks for coming by my blog and visiting with me!

Supplies that I used can be found on my website here

Have a great day :)

Kylie's Demonstrator Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Blog Hop!     The theme for this hop is "Anything Goes".

Sooo since I have some new goodies from the Occasions Catalog that was just released. What better time to use them right? . I love anything to do with nature, if it's outdoorsy, I'm all over it :)  Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is a beautiful set and comes in a bundle with a punch! How awesome is that?  I love easy and punches are just that. Quick and easy. Stamp your image, punch it out. That's it.

I decided to do a little water coloring for my butterflies , well the top half anyway lol... then stamp the image on it so that I could have a beautiful butterfly. Or in my case butterflies :)  Then I just punched the image out with my punch.

I decided to make the middle circle and then the idea to make the butterflies appear as if they were going through that and getting a wash of color as they did and emerge with beautiful color.

I just sponged some colors ( gorgeous grape, melon mambo and  coastal cabana) onto a clear sheet spritzed it with water and added my paper.

I then stamped my image onto the colors and punched them out.

and there you go a beautiful stamp set made into a super easy beautiful card

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to visit all the wonderful Demonstrators that have put up their gorgeous creations to share with you!
